Connecting Stripe for Client Payments
Kindred Practice partners with Stripe to provide secure credit card processing, making it easy to manage payments and invoices. Follow these steps to set up Stripe integration and customize your payment settings.
1. Accessing Stripe Setup
• Go to Practice Settings and select Payment Settings.
• Start Stripe Setup: Click Set Up Stripe to begin the setup process. You’ll be redirected to Stripe’s secure onboarding portal.
2. Stripe Setup Process
• One-Way and Two-Way Sync Options: Stripe supports one-way sync (displaying Google events on Kindred Practice) and two-way sync (showing Kindred Practice events on Google and vice versa).
• Two-Way Sync Settings: If you choose two-way sync, ensure both your Google and Kindred Practice activities will appear on both calendars for full integration.
• Business Information: Enter personal and business details, including:
• Name, Address, and Contact Info: Required for verification.
• Business Industry and Website: Specify your mental health service industry and link your website.
• Bank Information for Payouts: Enter your routing and account numbers for direct deposits.
• Review and Submit: Confirm all details and submit. Stripe may require additional verification steps.
3. Activating Payments in Kindred Practice
• Once setup is complete, you’ll return to Kindred Practice, where payments will now be active. You’ll see options to manage Stripe settings or disconnect if needed.
4. Enabling Payment Requirements for Self-Booking
• Forced Payment Method Requirement: Toggle this setting to require clients to have a credit card on file to self-book appointments.
• Clients will be prompted to add a payment method before booking if one isn’t already on file.
• Therapist Scheduling Flexibility: You can still book appointments for clients without payment information, but you’ll receive a reminder.
• Reminders for Missing Payment Info: If a client without a payment method is booked, both the therapist and client will receive an email notification prompting the client to add a credit card.
By integrating Stripe with Kindred Practice, therapists can manage client payments securely and efficiently, ensuring smooth financial transactions directly within the platform.
