# Creating an Appointment

Creating an appointment on your calendar with your clients

**Creating Client Appointments in Kindred Practice**

Therapists can easily schedule client appointments using the scheduler or directly from the client’s profile. Here are the main methods:

**1\. Creating an Appointment from the Scheduler**

• **Open Scheduler:** Start from the Scheduler, where you’ll see your calendar view for the week.

• **Check Availability:** Review existing appointments to avoid conflicts.

• **Method 1: Click on Calendar**

• Click on any time slot in the calendar to open the appointment setup window.

• **Choose Client and Service:** Select your client and service type (e.g., Individual Therapy, Family Therapy).

• **Select Location:** Choose the appropriate location based on service settings (e.g., Kindred Practice Video, Office).

• **Date and Time:** The date and time are pre-filled based on where you clicked, but you can adjust as needed.

• **Method 2: Use the ‘Schedule Appointment’ Button**

• Click the **Schedule Appointment** button at the top.

• **Select Client, Service, and Location:** Choose your client, session type, and preferred location.

• **Date and Time:** Manually enter the date and time since it’s not pre-filled in this method.

• **Save Appointment:** Once set, click **Save** to finalize the appointment, and it will appear on your calendar.

**2\. Creating an Appointment from the Client Profile**

• **Go to Client Profile:** Access the client’s profile from the Clients tab.

• **New Appointment Button:** Click **New Appointment** within the client’s profile.

• **Follow Standard Setup:** This opens the same appointment setup window as in the scheduler, allowing you to choose the service, location, and time.

• **Convenience:** This method is useful when viewing a client’s profile and scheduling their next session directly without returning to the scheduler.

These methods ensure flexible scheduling options, allowing therapists to book appointments efficiently based on their workflow.
