# Creating Locations and Services

Set up your practice locations and configure the services you provide for your clients

**Setting Up Practice Locations and Services**

Kindred Practice’s settings allow you to manage the physical or virtual locations where you provide therapy and customize the services available to clients.

**1\. Adding Locations**

• **Navigate to Practice Settings:** Go to **Settings** and select **Locations** under the **Services** section.

• **Default Location:** Kindred Practice Video is set as the default virtual location, using Kindred Practice’s built-in telehealth platform for online sessions.

• **Adding New Locations:** Click **Add New** to add a new location.

• **Physical Office:** Enter the office address to show in appointment reminders.

• **Phone Appointments:** For phone sessions, you may choose to label the location as “We’ll call you” to avoid exposing your personal phone number in appointment details.

**2\. Setting Up Services**

• **Default Services:** Kindred Practice provides a few default services, such as _Initial Consult_, _Individual Therapy Session_, and _Discharge Session_.

• **Adding a New Service:**

• **Service Name:** Enter the name of the service (e.g., Family Therapy).

• **Price:** Set the service price (e.g., $200).

• **Duration:** Enter the session length (e.g., 120 minutes for a two-hour session).

• **Service Type:** Choose _Individual_ or _Group_:

• _Individual:_ Allows only one client per booking.

• _Group:_ Enables multiple clients to book into the same session (e.g., Family or Couples Therapy).

• **Description:** Optionally add a description for additional details.

• **Color Code:** Select a color to represent the service on your calendar.

• **Available Locations:** Choose the locations where this service is offered (e.g., Kindred Practice Video, Office).

• **Taxable:** Enable if the service is taxable; Kindred Practice will calculate the tax accordingly.

**3\. Saving and Viewing Services**

• **Save Changes:** Once you’ve configured a service, click **Save**. The new service will now appear in your scheduler.

• **Schedule Bookings:** When booking an appointment, the selected service will display the assigned color, duration, and available locations.
